Different Way of Life

After about 22.5 hours of flying, waiting, delayed flights, and flying again, I've finally arrived in the holy land: Jerusalem, Israel. Let me tell you from experience, it is different here. I absolutely love the culture, until night fall. The noises never stop, and people don't go to bed. As I'm writing this post from my living room, I can hear the unending voices bouncing around in the city as it makes its way through the open windows into the apartment.

Just as the voices never end, neither does the heat. Tomorrow (Saturday) it is set to get into the 90s. The humidity is pretty sticky too. Here are a couple of updated photos taken today at the time of this post.

Nice view just outside my apartment.

Clal building where my school is located.

Jaffa Rd. facing South East.

Two big buildings.

Hmmm. Isn't it though.

Vacation!

So our family takes a vacation to the coast just before I leave for Israel. It was really fun. We hiked a 2.25 mile trail into our campground. Here are just a few pictures Nate (brother) and I took.

Weird Morph Ball

Please observe closely...

San Francisco Street Guy

When walking in downtown San Francisco I bumped into this street performer. I had to post the video I took. No tripod available, so please forgive the photographer. He seriously has skill.

Goodbye to Friends

Stopped by Isaac's house to say goodbye. He's a good high school buddy of mine since graduation.

Getting Ready to Go!

Five more days until I leave for Israel. I'm nervously trying to get everything ready to go. Feeling like there is so much to do, I ironically find myself at home trying to find out what my next step is. I just need to relax and let the Lord guide my steps. Please pray for me!
